Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Training

1 in 5 Americans deals with a mental health challenge.

Yet, while we may know how to recognize and respond to someone having a physical health challenge like a heart attack–perhaps approaching to ask if they’re okay, delivering CPR, or calling 911–can we also recognize and respond to someone having a mental health challenge like a panic attack, depressive symptoms, or substance use crisis?

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) delivers culturally sensitive, evidence-based skills training informed by relevant lived experiences of individuals, that teaches how to recognize, understand, and respond to the signs that someone may be having a mental health challenge or crisis. These skills are crucial in helping folks in our lives, communities, and institutions connect with appropriate help and support. Your intervention may aid in survival and sooner recovery from, and help reduce stigma against mental health challenges.

Become a Mental Health First Aider and bring this training to your workplace, community, social groups, and neighbors to help reduce mental health stigma, increase awareness of mental health challenges, and strengthen your community’s mental health supports for healthier, kinder, and safer communities across the US. #BeTheDifference

FAQs

What makes your services unique?

Our services are unique due to our specialization in ADHD and ASD, combined with a holistic, integrative approach.

What states do you work in?

We currently see clients in Massachusetts, Georgia, and New Jersey for medical services.

We teach MBCT & MHFA as public health offerings nationwide in the US.

Do you offer online sessions?

Yes, we offer online sessions to accommodate your needs and ensure accessibility. We offer individual and group sessions via video call or phone. In some cases, we can offer asynchronous care (also called store-and-forward telehealth because it is conducted via message exchange and does not occur in real-time) based on state laws & regulations and clinical details.

Asynchronous telehealth care is conducted via a secure messaging platform and may be appropriate for individuals working jobs or in circumstances where making traditional appointments may not be feasible. Again, eligibility is considered on a case-by-case basis based on state laws & regulations, insurance benefits, and if clinically appropriate.

How can I book a consultation?

You can book a consultation through our website's contact form or by clicking the "book today" button to start the registration & scheduling process.

Do you accept insurance?

Soon! Our applications with insurance company plans are pending, and we'll post here as soon as we are accepted to plans. And we'll list here the plans that accept us.

In the meantime, we offer self-pay sessions, more affordable group sessions, and a sliding scale to make our care as accessible as possible.
